I can almost see the end to this project!

Oh My...I'm exhausted! I need to slow down with offering my free time, because I usually overbook!!
All for a fantastic cause, though...and almost done...for this year =)
As my contribution to an annual fundraiser at work (in honor of a deceased coworker and to assist patients in need) I developed "the quilt project" and this is just the 2nd year, but....umph, so time consuming...
I selected a fabric I thought would blend well with most others, cut it and set up a distribution box with sign up sheet and other details...

The rules were simple: design and create a quilt square and return it to the box before July 4th! That's it...the rest was up to me!!! Last year I made ONE HUGE quilt (thing).
This year I decided to make a couple of smaller quilts (quiltlets!) a few pillows, a few small art quilts and a tote bag or two...
No fancy quilting, no precise corners and points....mostly art for sale for the highest $...Almost done...Whew!

  1. What a great project. The quilts turned out great and I'm sure your fundraiser will be a huge success.

  2. Congratulations on this project! I'd like to post a link to it from my blog, if that's OK with you. I know I have followers who are interested in this type of project. Do they go to any patients ... cancer patients ...? You can e-mail me at sherriequilt.yahoo.com and let me know if a link is OK.

  3. Thank you for your comments!
The fundraiser, headed by one of our Social Workers, typically brings in a lot and certainly helps many throughout the course of the year. I'm going to send you an email, Sherrie...
